Gov Ahmed Appoints Acting Vice Chancellor for Kwara State University The Kwara State  Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has approved the appointment of Professor Kenneth S. Adeyemi, as the acting Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU). The Kwara State Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Science and Technology, Barrister Abdullahi S. Alikinla, who announced  Professor Adeyemi’s appointment in a statement, also directed the incumbent Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abdulrasheed Naalah to hand over to the acting Vice Chancellor and proceed on terminal leave as his tenure expires in July 2019. The commissioner said the acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adeyemi, is to take charge of responsibilities relating to the smooth running of the institution in accordance with the law establishing it. On Monday, May 6,The Court of Appeal in Abuja , dismissed an appeal seeking the disqualification of the Ogun state governor-elect, Dapo Abiodun. The court in its ruling said Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress (APC) dismissed the suit faulting Abiodun’s eligibility to contest for the election. At the ruling by a three-member panel led by Justice Datti Yahaya, the court ruled that the appeal anchored on the failure of Abiodun to declare his university degree in his form cf.001 submitted to INEC was not true. Abdulrafiu Baruwa in a suit had challenged the March 7, judgment of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Apo, Abuja, which dismissed his suit faulting Abiodun’s eligibility to contest for the election. A Facebook user identified as Okechukwu Ella Eggovin has confused many people online after sharing photos of her brushing her teeth with Fanta. In the post, she stated that as a big girl, she uses the soft drink to clean her mouth and considers using water a poor alternative. In what most people are tagging full blown madness, Eggovin posed by a car while she proceeded to brush her teeth with Fanta. A US-based Nigerian man identified as Emma Madu has shared a though-provoking message in which he categorically adviced Nigerians to leave the country if they get the opportunity. He shared his life experience and revealed how he used to live in Onitsha and was managing a business but sturggled at some point to get gas to power their factory generator which made him decide to leave the country.
