Police retires 21 Assistant Inspectors General of Police

– About 21 Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs) were dealt an unexpected blow by the Police Service Commission (PSC)
– The senior police officers were retired from Nigerian Police Force

Reports have it that the Police Service Commission (PSC) has confirmed the disengagement from duty of 21 Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs) of Police, who were senior to the new acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Idris Ibrahim, before he was appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The spokesman of the PSC Ikechukwu Ani, released a statement on Friday, July 1, stating that the retired AIGs are:
1. Bala A Hassan
2. Yahaya Garba Ardo
3. Irmiya F Yarima
4. Danladi Y Mshebwala
5. Tambari Y. Mohammed.
6. Bala Magaji Nasarawa
7. Musa Abdulsalam
8. Adisa Bolanta
9. Mohammed J Gana
10. Umaru Abubakar Manko
11. Lawal Tanko
12. Olufemi A. Adenike
13. Johson A Ogunsakin
14. Adenrele T. Shinaba
15. James O. Caulcrick
16. Olufefemi David Ogumbayode
17. Edgar T Nanakumo
18. Kalafite H. Adeyemi
19. Patrick D Dokumor
20. Mbu Joseph Mbu
21. Sabo Ibrahim Ringim
Ani informed that the chairman of the Commission, Mike Mbama Okiro thanked the AIGs who were retired for their praiseworthy service to Nigeria and wished them well in their new journey in life.
As the police is trying to stem the tide of crime in the country, so also are criminals bracing up, as a 33-year old woman known as Akhere Emujede was raped and murdered after a Church service
